This evening I was considering a few questions that a Rhema grad posted on his Facebook.

I considered what I agreed with and what I questioned.

I thought thru confession as one topic that I’ve various feelings about.

Then I had a thought, as I was thinking of the power of our word.

Jesus didn’t say that we should live by our words. He said that we should live by every word the proceeds out of the mouth of God.

If we overemphasize the power of our confession and our words, we miss the bigger point. Agreeing with God’s word that He is actively, presently, and continually giving.

He has a word for us today… a message. Are we listening? Or are we to busy attempting to create our world by our own words, instead of His?

Daniel received God’s word about a kingdom. Mary received God’s word about a child. Joseph received God’s word about the child Jesus. Gideon received God’s word about defeating the surrounding army’s. Abraham received God’s word concerning being a blessing to the whole earth thru his offspring. Noah received God’s word about building the ark. Jesus received God’s word about going to the cross and drinking the cup that was set before Him. Have you received God’s word for your life? Your year? For your family? For yourself? For today? Think about it.

PS This does not eliminate, the need to watch what we say, however I hope to bring a stronger focus to watch what He is saying even more.
